The most common diseases caused by calium deficiencies are the tomato apical rot which shows up with an injury of the berry apex which becomes black, the apple bitter rot with the decay of the internal pulp, the apical drying up of the vine rachis, the lettuce tip burn which shows up with apical necrosis, the yellowish edge of the poinsettia, the formation of deformed buds and flowers of short duration in flowering plants.
